Relational Databases Query Optimization using Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm
Optimizing the database queries is one of hard research problems. Exhaustive search techniques like dynamic programming is suitable for queries with a few relations, but by increasing the number of relations in query, much use of memory and processing is needed, and the use of these methods is not suitable, so we have to use random and evolutionary methods. The use of evolutionary methods, beca...
متن کاملHybrid Adaptive Evolutionary Algorithm Hyper Heuristic
This paper presents a hyper heuristic that is able to adapt two low level parameters (depth of search rate and mutation intensity) and the probability of applying a low level heuristic to an evolving solution in order to improve the solution quality. Basically, two random subsets of heuristics are maintained: one sub set of the full set of heuristics and other sub-set of the local heuristics. F...
متن کاملAdaptive Information Filtering using Evolutionary Computation
Information Filtering is concerned with ®ltering data streams in such a way as to leave only pertinent data (information) to be perused. When the data streams are produced in a changing environment the ®ltering has to adapt too in order to remain eective. Adaptive Information Filtering (AIF) is concerned with ®ltering in changing environments. The changes may occur both on the transmission sid...
متن کاملHybrid inverse halftoning using adaptive filtering
We propose a novel fast inverse halftoning technique using a combination of spatial varying filtering and spatial invariant filtering. The proposed algorithm is significantly simpler than most existing algorithms. Without explicit edge region classification, the proposed spatial varying filter is shown to be capable of preserving edges effectively.
متن کاملSolving Linear Equations Using a Jacobi Based Time-Variant Adaptive Hybrid Evolutionary Algorithm
Large set of linear equations, especially for sparse and structured coefficient (matrix) equations, solutions using classical methods become arduous. And evolutionary algorithms have mostly been used to solve various optimization and learning problems. Recently, hybridization of classical methods (Jacobi method and Gauss-Seidel method) with evolutionary computation techniques have successfully ...
